Wisconsin Medical Society Foundation White Coat Campaign
Since 2001, students attending medical school in Wisconsin have received their first white coat and a personal note of encouragement from a physician through the Foundation’s White Coat Campaign. With this year’s record-breaking class of more than 435 medical students, more donations than ever are needed to make sure all students are welcomed warmly to the medical profession.
About the White Coat Campaign: The White Coat Campaign offers a wonderful opportunity for physicians from different generations to connect and allows practicing and retired physicians to make a difference in the lives of medical students.
The Foundation is seeking physicians to sponsor white coats and provide personal messages of encouragement for all students entering medical school in Wisconsin this year. This includes the approximately 380 students at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) as well as the 50 students enrolled at the Green Bay and Central Wisconsin MCW campuses.
To participate in the 2016 White Coat Campaign, you may pay online or contact the Foundation's administrative assistant, Lori Koffarnus, at 608.442.3721 or Lori.Koffarnus@wismed.org. If paying online, please specify the amount you wish to donate, select 'White Coat Campaign' from the dropdown menu, click 'Next', and enter a personal message when prompted on the second page (before the payment screen).
The requested donation is $75 for each coat.
